The kind of suspense book that will have you questioning the protagonist at every step with passages like "The new me was riskier, more determined to prove inner strength" and "A lost woman in a hammock surrounded by dancing cult members...What's not to be freaked out about?" If stories about young women traipsing about in the woods without a clue are to your liking, then this would apt to be a good book for you.

"Why loosen the grip?"

This was on its way to being my first 5 star review for some time. It was indeed a gripping short story. The tension was mounting throughout and although not so scary that I had to read it from behind a cushion, it hit the spot as a short horror piece. It's impossible to say what disappointed me without revealing too much, but suffice to say I felt the loose ends were all tied a little too quickly and neatly.
